Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited disease that affects the nervous system and the digestive track. It causes a thick mucus lining to clog the lungs which makes it difficult for the patient to breathe or digest food correctly. It is one of the most threatening genetic diseases in the US affecting about 30,000 children and adults. On average, 1 in every 3,500 babies are born with CF. At this time, there is no cure, but people are working day in and day out to find one!
